Artist's Comments

Second in this series. Creation according to the religious. Simply, God created everything.

I included a scanned picture of the first page of the bible. However, as far as I know both the Koran (Islam) and the Torah (Judaism) both have the old testament as well so it is applicable to all three religions (which is why I chose it).

If someone knows better then this then please point it out to me as I would like to know! :D

I'm quite a fan of your artwork just by itself, but it works wonders graphically as well. I like your choice of font. It happens to be one of my favorites and it suits the composition very well. I love your limited use of color in this one. The rich tones juxtaposed against an elegant use of blacks is very sophisticated and elegant. Hmm... I think I may want to go into graphic design.

I have learnt a lot about colour this year. I used to blast my work with every colour imaginable, simplicity is strengthening these compositions so much.

what you've learned definitely shows in your new work. I am incredibly particular about color because I had a ridiculously hard-ass color theory teacher. That was actually my favorite class and I took another class with the same teacher the next quarter.
